Five new client advisors join Rothschild & Co’s Wealth Management business in Zurich, to work alongside the existing team and further accelerate growth in Central and Eastern Europe.

Rothschild & Co has hired five new client advisors in its Wealth Management business in Zurich, to focus mainly on clients from Central and Eastern Europe. The new team joins from Credit Suisse and will start at Rothschild & Co on 1 September 2023.

The team is headed by Gerold Reiser, who has over 18 years’ experience as a private banker. Most recently, he was Head Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for 14 CEE markets within the Wealth Management Division. He becomes Market Head CEE, effective 1 October 2023, and will report to Andreas Feller.

Alongside Gerold Reiser, the four other client advisors joining Rothschild & Co are Maciej Wiackowski, Magdalena Majewska Koch, Viktors Bolbats and Lars Lang, all of whom also have many years’ experience in serving ultra-high-net-worth family offices and corporate clients across CEE markets. The CEE team will be supported by Alberto Rigamonti as Client Executive and Yann Bürgisser as Assistant.

Laurent Gagnebin, CEO of Rothschild & Co’s Swiss Wealth Management business said: “These hires are in line with our continued focus on key European markets. After successfully expanding our capabilities for Swiss domestic clients in recent months, broadening our focus to additional European markets is the natural next step. We see great potential in Central & Eastern European markets and are targeting sustainable growth there. The close work we do with Rothschild & Co ‘s Global Advisory and Merchant Banking divisions will be invaluable in this respect.”
