About myself and what I do
I work in the Client Advisors team within Wealth Management in London, covering the UK market. My role is to look after some of our existing clients, to work on more complex portfolio reviews or pitches, and to deal with complicated queries from clients.

Prior to joining Rothschild & Co, I spent two years within Wealth Management in Milan. Before that, I worked in London within a Marketing Derivatives team and before that, in Fixed Income in Milan.

How I joined
I was hired with a group of people to open the Italian branch of the Wealth Management division. I already knew Rothschild & Co and the strength of its brand, and I had no doubt when I was offered a job. After having spent the first nine months in the London office, I decided that this was the place where I wanted to be for the rest of my career. I then started to look for any available internal opportunities. I was called by one the Clients teams in London for a round of interviews and was then offered a permanent job here. Both the management team in Milan and London supported my desire to move and the company provided a lot of help with all of the practical issues of moving.

What is great about my job
Every day is different because every client is different, so you never get bored! I love the fact that you have to be constantly on top of what's going on in the world and in the financial markets, and you must be able to understand and explain the impact of that on clients' investments. Generally speaking, one of the best things about my job is that it is not transactions-based but it is client-based: you need to build long-term relationships and have clients trust you. Finally, the growth of your knowledge is never limited; it varies from pure finance to broader wealth planning and tax-related aspects. You never stop learning!

The skills I need
You must be a sociable person with a genuine passion for financial markets. You must be able to listen to people's needs and have a proactive approach, both within your team and with clients. Attention to detail is paramount.

My take on the culture
I find my working environment simply great: it is friendly yet professional and is made by the very smart people around me. The company makes you feel proud to work here and will never stop supporting your growth.

Outside work
Cooking is my great passion and one more reason to love London is that you can find ingredients and recipes from all over the world (but Italian food remains the best)! I also love travelling and discovering new cultures and places all around the world.
