Rothschild & Co advises on two winning deals from IJGlobal

 IJGlobal Investor Awards

Global Advisory has been recognised with two “Deal of the Year” awards at the 2025 IJGlobal Investor Awards, celebrating our outstanding achievements in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

The Awards

1. Renewables Deal of the Year, Europe

Masdar’s €2.4bn take private of Terna Energy, including 750m acquisition financing package. The transaction is the largest renewables deal across CSEE and Greece’s largest ever P2P acquisition financing.

Rothschild & Co Added Value

The process entailed the carve-out and disposal of non-core assets and the development of a unique infrastructure-style debt platform. We leveraged our expertise to navigate complex negotiations, due diligence, and strategic structuring.

2. Transport Deal of the Year, APAC

Airport Authority Hong Kong’s record-breaking US$7bn equivalent multi-currency bond issuance. The transaction represents one of the highest profile bond issuances in Asia, with 27 global and local banks participating in the syndicate. The offering was the largest ever from a Hong Kong issuer and includes the longest ever tenor for a HKD bond, as well as the largest offering from Greater China since 2017.

Rothschild & Co Added Value

We advised on bank selection, transaction structure, and the development of the credit story, as well as optimal timing. Our role included guidance on bookbuilding, tenor and pricing strategies, and overseeing due diligence throughout the transaction.
