    René is a Senior Advisor of Rothschild & Co, a member of the Advisory Committees of FAPI I, FAPI II, FACS and FADL.

    Prior to joining Rothschild & Co, René worked for 30 years at The Boston Consulting Group ('BCG'). He served as Head of France from 1985 to 1990, Chairman of BCG Europe from 1990 to 1997, was Executive Committee member of BCG worldwide from 1988 to 2004, and remains a Senior Advisor to BCG.

    René is also a member of the Board of Directors of Laboratoire Français des Biotechnologies, Chair of the Compensation Committee, a Managing Director of Delphen Sarl and an observer on the Board of Socotec. He is Chairman of the the Cernuschi Museum Société des Amis. Previously he sat on the Board of Directors of Carrefour and Atos for seven years. He is Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur.

    Brahim graduated from both Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (Supaero) and Sciences Po Paris.

    Rolf Classon is an Operating Partner at FACP and FAPI focused on Life Sciences and Medical Technology.

    Prior to joining FACP in 2017, Rolf was a Senior Advisor at Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) Capital Partners, which he joined in 2015.  Prior to BBH, he was the senior Operating Partner in life sciences at Health Evolution Partners, since 2011.  Previously, Rolf held various management positions within Bayer AG, including as Chairman of the Executive Committee of its subsidiary Bayer HealthCare AG, until his retirement from the company in 2004.

    Rolf currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Perrigo and as a member of the Board of Directors of Fresenius Medical Care, Catalent and Freedom Innovations.

    Rolf received his chemical engineering certificate from the Gothenburg School of Engineering and a business degree from Gothenburg University.

    Victor Decrion

    Managing Director & COO

    Victor Decrion is the Chief Operating Officer of Merchant Banking and a Managing Director of FAPI.  Victor is also a member of the Merchant Banking Management Committee.

    Prior to joining Rothschild & Co in 2008, Victor was a corporate attorney with Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier in Paris and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York since 2002.

    Since joining the Group, Victor has been actively involved in structuring and executing a number of investments for Rothschild & Co and for FAPI, in addition to overseeing the financial and reporting processes of Five Arrows.

    Victor was involved in the investments in Les Petits Chaperons Rouges and Socotec.

    Victor is a graduate of HEC Paris (where he completed a PIM programme at WHU Koblenz). He also holds a law degree from Paris University and an undergraduate degree in economics from Sciences Po Paris.

    Andrew Didham

    Andrew is a member of Direct Lending Advisory Committee and the Vice Chairman of Rothschild & Co with specific responsibility for the oversight of risk and regulation.

    Until 2014, he served as a member of Rothschild & Co's Group Management Committee and was, until 2012, the Group's Finance Director.

    As a longstanding member of Rothschild & Co general management, Andrew has served on all of the various local boards in each of the group's banking businesses.

    He remains a member of the board of N.M. Rothschild & Sons Limited in the UK.

    Andrew joined Rothschild & Co in 1997 after a 19-year career with KPMG.

    Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

    Prior to joining FAPI in 2011, Karl worked at Haymarket Financial (Hayfin), a dedicated special situations debt investment company set up by Towerbook Capital, where he had been since 2009. Karl started his career at Goldman Sachs in 2003 in private equity (PIA) and distressed (ESSG) investing.

    Karl currently sits on the boards of Prospitalia and Centric Health.

    He holds a Diplom Kaufmann from Oestrich-Winkel and a Masters of Science in Public Policy and Management from SOAS London. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

    Prior to joining FAPI in 2019, Fraser was the COO of Charlotte Tilbury, the fast-growing global beauty and cosmetics brand. Earlier in his career, Fraser was a Senior Vice President in Bain Capital's Portfolio Group where he spent seven years undertaking value creation and transformation activities across a number of their portfolio companies in electronics manufacturing, food distribution & logistics and payment technology.

    Fraser began his career at Bain & Company, the global strategy consulting firm, where he specialised in private equity diligence and the retail/consumer sector. He operated out of the London, San Francisco, Sydney and Moscow offices.

    Fraser holds a 1st class degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford.

    Jonathan Hazan is an Operating Partner at FAPI and FACP focused on Healthcare Information Technology.

    He is the founder and former CEO of Datix, a global leading patient safety software provider and portfolio company of FAPI and FACP.

    During Jonathan's tenure as CEO from 2009 to 2015, Datix evolved from a UK-centric, largely on-premise software firm to a SaaS-based provider of patient safety software and analytics, serving over 550 clients worldwide, including hospitals across the US, UK, Canada, Australia and the Middle East. He is Chairman of Patient Safety Learning, a foundation promoting patient safety around the world.

    Jonathan graduated from Durham University with a BSc in Computer Science.

    He is former Chairman of the Executive Board of Rothschild & Co (formerly Paris Orléans), Sylvain is now a member of its Supervisory Board and Audit Committee, as well as Chairman of its Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

    Sylvain joined Rothschild & Co in 2005, after serving as a General Partner at Goldman Sachs where he was a former member of its European Management Committee.

    Sylvain is also a member of the Board of NYSE Euronext.

    Dominic has a long track record of completed healthcare-related financing transactions and has advised a number of private equity funds.

    Dominic joined Rothschild & Co in 1998 from Andersen where he was a Partner and spent a year seconded to HM Treasury and the Department of Health, establishing the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) within the UK's National Health Service.

    Javed Khan

    Head of Merchant Banking & Co-Managing Partner of FAPI

    Javed is a founding member and Head of Rothschild & Co's Merchant Banking business.

    He is a member of all of the Investment Committees for the various Merchant Banking funds and chairs the Investment Committees for the corporate private equity and direct lending funds. Javed serves as one of the two Co-Managing Partners of Five Arrows Principal Investments. He also chairs the Merchant Banking Management Committee and is a member of Rothschild & Co's Group Executive Committee.

    Before joining Rothschild & Co in 2009, Javed was a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group of The Blackstone Group in London. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2005, Javed spent 12 years at DLJ, of which the last five were at DLJ Merchant Banking in London where he primarily focused on healthcare investing.

    Javed currently sits on the boards of Binding Site, Centric Health, RL-Datix and Opus 2. Prior board appointments include Autodata, Karnov, Kisimul, Pirum, Prospitalia, BioPartners, Bowater, Grohe, NextPharma, and Nycomed.

    Javed is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he concurrently acquired BAS/BS degrees from the School of Engineering and the Wharton School, respectively. He also holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Javed is a member of the Executive Board of the University of Pennsylvania's Jerome Fisher Dual Degree Management & Technology program.

    Vivek started his career at Goldman Sachs, and worked in both the New York and London offices.

    Vivek currently sits on the boards of Datix, Karnov, White Clarke and Voogd & Voogd. Prior board appointments include Kisimul and Autodata.

    Vivek received an MBA from the Harvard Business School. 

    He holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Rochester where he was a Joseph Wilson Scholar.

    Prior to joining Rothschild & Co in 2018, Marine worked within the corporate practice of Allen & Overy in Paris, which she joined in 2015 and where she focused on Private Equity. She had previously worked in the corporate general practice of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Paris.

    Marine is qualified as a US attorney with the New York bar and as a French civil law avocat, and holds law degrees from La Sorbonne University and NYU School of Law. Marine also graduated with an MSc in Management from HEC Paris Business School.

    Prior to joining Merchant Banking in 2014, Dominic worked within the banking and finance practice of Clifford Chance in London and Paris, which he joined in 2007 and where he focused on Leveraged Finance. He had previously worked in the corporate and finance practice of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg in Montreal.

    Dominic is qualified as an English law solicitor and a civil law avocat with the Quebec bar, and holds a law degree from Laval University.

    Emmanuel is Managing Partner of FAPI. He is also a member of FAPI's Investment Committee and of the Merchant Banking Management Committee. 

    Emmanuel joined Rothschild & Co in 1993 and spent nine years in the firm's Global Advisory division where he was a Managing Director.

    Following three years as the CFO of one of the Rothschild family's wine business, Emmanuel rejoined the financial arm of the group in 2005 to lead the investment practice at Rothschild & Co (formerly Paris Orléans).

    Emmanuel currently sits on the boards of Etanco, Photonis, Socotec, Dominique Dutscher, I@D, Lafayette Conseil A2Mac1, Harvest and CBA. Prior board appointments include OdigeO, Cadum and Ileos.  

    Emmanuel is a graduate of ESSEC Business School.

    Donal Smith

    Donal Smith is an Operating Partner at FAPI and FACP focused on Data and Financial Technology.

    He is a co-founder and Executive Chairman of Credit Benchmark, a credit risk data and analytics provider founded in 2013, backed by Index Ventures and Balderton Capital.

    Prior to co-founding Credit Benchmark, Donal was CEO of Data Explorers, a business specialising in securities lending data, which he helped to grow from 2008 to 2012 before it was sold to IHS Markit.  Recently he served as chairman of BI-SAM Technologies SA, a leading financial data services and analytics provider which was sold to Factset in March 2017. He is currently Chairman of Pirum Systems, a financial technology provider of securities finance automation and portfolio company of Five Arrows Principal Investments. He has also served as CEO EMEA & Asia of Thomson Financial, a division of Thomson Reuters, and as CEO of FT.com.

    Donal holds a BA in the History of Art and English Literature from University College Dublin.

    Younes Zemmouri

    Prior to joining FAPI in 2010, Younes was a Principal of Bain Capital, which he joined in 2004. At Bain Capital, Younes conducted a number of large transaction processes across a broad range of sectors. 

    Younes previously worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company in Paris, where he was involved in several assignments in technology and consumer products for large French corporates. 

    Younes seats on the Boards of CBA and Harvest.

    Younes received an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He also graduated from HEC Paris, where he completed a joint program with the University of Chicago, and holds a degree in Public Affairs from Sciences Po Paris.
