Gael de Barmon

Gael de Barmon is a senior advisor of Rothschild & Co. and a member of the FASO funds Advisory Committees since 2019.

He started his private equity career with Barclays Private Equity in France before moving to Hong Kong in 1995. He initially joined The Industrial Bank of Japan (IBJ and now Mizuho) where he created and managed the Asian PE operation for 4 years. From 1999 to 2013 he was Managing Partner of Natixis Private Equity Asia, one of the earliest movers in the Chinese private equity market.

Gael is also an investor in a number of European early-stage companies where he sits on their boards and is actively involved in their operations and development strategy.

Gael is a graduate from Sciences Po Paris, from ESSEC and holds a law degree from Paris 2 university (Assas).
