Gael de Barmon

Gael has been a Senior Advisor for Five Arrows since 2019.

Gael started his private equity career with Barclays Private Equity in France before moving to Hong Kong in 1995. He initially joined The Industrial Bank of Japan, now Mizuho, where he created and managed the Bank Asian Private Equity Operation (excl. Japan). From 1999 to 2013 he set up and managed Natixis Private Equity Asia, one of the earliest movers in the Chinese Private Equity Market.

Gael is an investor in a number of small and mid-cap companies in the US, UK and France. He sits on their boards and is actively involved in their operations and development strategy.

Gael graduated from Sciences Po Paris and ESSEC; he also holds a law degree from Paris 2 University (Assas).
