Corporate Giving

Through our Corporate Giving programme, we make targeted donations to some of the most innovative and effective charities and social enterprises operating in the field of supporting disadvantaged young people. We also give directly to individual young people in need through several scholarship and bursary programmes that support higher educational pathways.

Examples of our current partnerships include:

Epic Foundation

In France we have developed a partnership with the Epic Foundation, a start-up which is disrupting the world of philanthropy through its rigorous impact-assessment process and its use of technology to engage potential donors.  Epic focuses on channeling funds to some of the most efficient social organisations in the world which have a proven track record of supporting children and young people.

Rothschild & Co South Africa Foundation

Our Rothschild & Co South Africa Foundation offers scholarships to historically disadvantaged South Africans to enable them study commerce or finance-related disciplines at postgraduate level. The scholarships ensure that students are fully funded and able to secure tuition, textbooks, accommodation, meals, a monthly allowance and additional academic support.  In addition Rothschild & Co provides the students with mentors, work-readiness training and dedicated 24/7 personal support. Since its launch in 2013 the Foundation has awarded forty scholarships.

The Fore

In the UK we partner with The Fore, a new and innovative funding body which focuses exclusively on the small charities and social enterprises including start-ups which might typically be considered risky and therefore be overlooked for funding.

Through its pioneering venture philanthropy model and screening process The Fore significantly reduces the risk to funders, and empowers early-stage organisations to apply for funding based on what they think they can achieve with it rather than on any pre-determined outcomes.

Through our support of The Fore we aim to help build a pipeline of social enterprises and charities with exciting new ideas about how to serve disadvantaged communities, and children and young people in particular.

We also run a number of schemes which offer funding directly to young people in the form of bursaries and scholarships.
