Corporate Giving

Through our Corporate Giving programme, we make targeted donations to some of the most innovative and effective charities and social enterprises operating in the field of supporting disadvantaged young people. We also give directly to individual young people in need through several scholarship and bursary programmes that support higher educational pathways.

In 2020, we supported 100 organisations working in a range of areas including access to the arts, education, and wellbeing.

Sport dans La Ville

In France we have developed a partnership with Sport dans la Ville, an organisation that uses sport to promote the integration of young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Along with providing funding, colleagues from Lyon and Marseille mentor young people in the ‘Job dans la Ville’ programme helping them to understand the impact of choices they make now in their later lives. This multi-dimensional support was also seen when Rothschild & Co in France participated in the ‘Entrepreneur dans la Ville’ programme, an incubator that helps entrepreneurs between the ages of 25 and 35 to develop their own businesses.

Rothschild & Co South Africa Foundation

Our Rothschild & Co South Africa Foundation offers scholarships to historically disadvantaged South Africans to enable them study commerce or finance-related disciplines at postgraduate level. The scholarships ensure that students are fully funded and able to secure tuition, textbooks, accommodation, meals, a monthly allowance and additional academic support.  In addition Rothschild & Co provides the students with mentors, work-readiness training and dedicated 24/7 personal support. Since its launch in 2013 the Foundation has awarded forty scholarships.

The Brokerage

In the UK we have been partnered with The Brokerage since 2017. The Brokerage works in partnership with employers, volunteers and schools to raise aspirations, create access and provide opportunity for young people with the overall aim of achieving diversity in the workplace. The Brokerage run a range of award winning programmes for young people including workshops, mentoring programmes and paid internship opportunities. Together this helps create an environment where a young person’s ability and aspiration alone determine their career path.
