Rothschild & Co makes senior Front Office appointments for UK Wealth Management business

Chris Oliver and Peter Hindle

Rothschild & Co is delighted to announce two new client-focused senior appointments in its UK Wealth Management business. Peter Hindle will become the new Head of Client Teams. Previously, Peter was Head of UK Regions for Rothschild & Co Wealth Management. Chris Oliver joins from UBS after 15 years there, as the new Head of Client Strategy and Execution. Both roles will be based in London.

Working in tandem, Peter and Chris will be jointly responsible for leading Rothschild & Co’s UK Wealth Management Front Office. The Front Office co-leadership roles replace the Head of Front Office role previously held by James Morrell, who became Deputy CEO of the UK Wealth Management business in 2024. Both Peter and Chris will be members of the Management Committee.

As Head of Client Teams, Peter Hindle will be responsible for managing the UK Wealth Management Client Teams and developing the next generation of Client Advisers. All of the Client Teams will report to Peter, who will continue to remain responsible for a number of key client relationships.

As Head of Client Strategy and Execution, Chris Oliver will be responsible for helping grow the business in a way that ensures the best outcomes for clients, overseeing other key aspects of the Front Office including support, wealth solutions, and front office operations, as well as marketing and business development.

Helen Watson, CEO of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management UK, said: “The creation of these new roles will support our continued investment in and expansion of the business as more clients entrust us with their wealth. We are delighted to welcome Chris to the business and congratulate Peter on this well-deserved new role.”

James Morrell, Deputy CEO of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management UK, said: “Chris’s breadth of experience and understanding of Wealth Management across client facing, risk management and business development roles is a perfect complement to Peter’s knowledge of our business and track record in building our regional UK Wealth Management presence. Together, they will continue to develop and implement our strategy to meet the needs of existing and future clients and take our industry leading reputation for delivering client service to the next level.”

Peter Hindle joined Rothschild & Co from Credit Suisse in 2015 to lead and develop the UK Regional Wealth Management business, which now has four offices (Birmingham, Guernsey, Leeds, Manchester) and a team of 30 people. Peter began his career as a corporate lawyer and has almost two decades’ experience as a Client Adviser.

Chris Oliver has 20 years’ experience in financial services, focusing on Wealth Management. Having started his career at PwC, he worked for UBS for 15 years, in a variety of leadership roles across the front office, investment products, risk and operations, most recently as UK Head of High-Net-Worth Clients.

Rothschild & Co has invested significantly in its UK Wealth Management business which has resulted in AUM doubling in the last five years.
