Rothschild & Co is combining all of its capital markets facing activities into a new single, global structure called Global Markets Solutions (GMS). The new entity will include Rothschild & Co’s research arm, Redburn Atlantic, which will be rebranded Rothschild & Co Redburn. GMS positions Rothschild & Co to provide research-led distribution and execution seamlessly across public and private markets.

“Our clients, specifically Financial Sponsors and private businesses, require ever-increasing support to devise and execute comprehensive capital solutions and innovative exit strategies that extend beyond traditional M&A or IPOs,” said Robert Leitão, Rothschild & Co Managing Partner. “Rothschild & Co Redburn’s research underpins GMS’s expertise in and access to public and private pools of capital, leveraging the historic relationships built by our Advisory business and positioning us to deliver the insights and solutions that our clients need.”

“In recent years, global capital markets have undergone significant changes, with increased passive investing in public markets and simultaneous growth in private markets, encompassing both equity and debt,” said Mark Connelly, Global co-head of GMS. “Within the context of GMS, Rothschild & Co Redburn allows us to better serve our clients in a world where global sector knowledge and access to public and private capital are a requirement for growth.”

“Financial sponsors are demanding for sophisticated guidance in crafting creative financing strategies and exploring exit options,” said Aadeesh Aggarwal, co-head of GMS. “These strategies are essential to finance balance sheets, monetise assets and return capital to investors, and GMS, with its research and trading capabilities and relationships allows us to execute seamlessly for our clients.”
