Jean-Baptiste Van Ex joins Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Belgium as Senior Adviser

Jean-Baptiste Van Ex

Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Belgium is pleased to announce the appointment of Jean-Baptiste Van Ex as Senior Adviser.

Jean-Baptiste Van-Ex is a graduate of the Louvain School of Management. He began his career in London before moving to Paris to work in international financial firms. In 2004, he joined Banque Degroof, renamed Degroof Petercam in 2015, where he successively held positions as a Financial Analyst, Managing Director in charge of Real Estate, and finally Managing Partner.

During his years with the bank, he headed multiple large-scale projects – fund creation, capital increases, securitisations, bond issues, IPOs – representing more than €10 billion in transactions.

Driven by a keen interest in housing inclusivity issues, he helped found Inclusio, a listed company specialising in social housing. In 2020, he chose to leave Degroof Petercam to embark on an entrepreneurial plan aligned with his convictions, launching the investment fund Vicinity Affordable Housing Fund.

Alongside his professional activities, Jean-Baptiste Van Ex is involved with several real estate firms as well as various charitable associations, pursuing a strong commitment to social inclusion and the greater good.

“Jean-Baptiste’s arrival marks another step in the development of our private banking business in Belgium. His exceptional career, combining financial expertise and social engagement, is a genuine source of inspiration. We are proud to welcome him to this new chapter for our company”, said Anne-Sophie Eyméoud, Head of Rothschild & Co Wealth Management Belgium.
