Rothschild & Co hires Simon Marrison as Managing Director and Head of Financial Sponsors, Australia

Rothschild & Co announced today that Simon Marrison will join the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Financial Sponsors, Australia, a newly created role to provide dedicated financial sponsors coverage.

The appointment highlights the growing importance of financial sponsors in the Australian market and reflects Rothschild & Co’s commitment as a global and independent adviser, to deliver tailored, expert advice to clients across public and private equity markets.

Mr. Marrison is a highly regarded financial sponsors adviser, having built deep, long-standing relationships with both global and local sponsors over his career. He joins Rothschild & Co from Citi, where he was Managing Director and led Citi’s financial sponsors business in Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to his work with financial sponsors, Mr. Marrison has extensive experience advising clients across a range of high-growth sectors, including childcare, healthcare services, and education, all of which remain highly active for Rothschild & Co in Australia and globally.

With his experience and deep industry relationships, Mr. Marrison will play a key role in enhancing Rothschild & Co’s origination and execution capabilities in Australia. Working closely with the firm’s senior leadership, he will further strengthen the firm's advisory offering in the region.
