Intern Private Banking (fixed-term 6 months)

The Swiss Onshore team is looking for a motivated intern to join the team based in Geneva for a period of 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support in opening banking relationships, including dealing with Legal & Compliance matters
  • Provide general client maintenance assistance, such as:
    • responding to client requests
    • dealing with day to day client administration
    • receiving and processing payment / trading orders
    • preparing documentation for client meetings
    • monitoring progress of tasks and ensure proper follow-up
    • preparing Powerpoint proposals
    • assisting with Excel portfolio reporting and modelling
  • Ensure close co-operation with various departments including Investment Department, Legal & Compliance, Credit, Payments and Securities Administration
  • Collaborate in marketing activities of the team, including maintaining prospects lists, writing marketing letters, organising meetings and business trips and ensuring proper follow up
  • Coordinate meetings, both internal and with clients or prospects
  • Assist with preparing presentations
  • Help with client servicing and prospecting in French and English
  • Participating in client calls together with the Client Advisor and Investment Department

Education and Qualifications

  • Commercial degree, bank apprenticeship or similar
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Proficient in MS Office – strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in using MS 360 environment (Copilot, MS Planner, MS Sharepoint, MS Loop)

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Completed Internship in the financial industry is considered a plus
  • Knowledge and interest in financial markets and private banking
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and reliability, flexibility, commitment and responsibility
  • Discreet attitude, strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Flexible "Can-do" attitude
