The journey to sale with Tim Phillips of Gate One

The events of the past 18 months have prompted many entrepreneurs and business owners to reassess their objectives for both the business and themselves, in some cases resulting in a new, or revived, interest in a business sale.

In a recent event hosted by E2Exchange, we were delighted to hear from Tim Phillips, co-founder and Managing Partner of Gate One, and Jeremy Furniss, Managing Director of Rothschild & Co’s mid-market specialists, Arrowpoint Advisory, discussing this journey to sale and the key elements that business owners need to take into account along the way.

Having co-founded Gate One, and grown the business to become one of the UK’s leading independent management consultancies, Tim and his partners, guided by the Arrowpoint Advisory team, sold it to Havas Group, one of the world’s largest global communications groups. Tim and Jeremy spoke about Gate One's journey to sale, from the decision to sell, to the choice of advisors and new owners, through to the execution of a successful sale, providing an insight into how entrepreneurs should prepare for, manage and successfully conclude an exit.
