Rothschild & Co hires Sang Shin as Managing Director in North America

Senior hire enhances the firm’s Media & Telecom team in New York and further expands the Global Advisory business in North America

Rothschild & Co announced today that Sang Shin has joined its Global Advisory business as a Managing Director in the Media & Telecom team. Ms. Shin brings more than a decade of corporate advisory and TMT expertise to Rothschild & Co, as well as extensive M&A experience. She will report to Jonathan Herbst, Head of North America Media & Telecom, and will be based in New York.

Prior to joining Rothschild & Co, Ms. Shin was a Managing Director in the Corporate Advisory business at Evercore. Previously, Ms. Shin was a Senior Vice President in Goldman Sachs’ TMT group in New York. She has advised on over $200 billion in transactions across the TMT sector, including advising 21st Century Fox on the sale of certain assets to Walt Disney and its spinoff to form Fox Corp., CBS on its split-off and subsequent merger of CBS Radio with Entercom Communications and Charter Communications on its acquisition of Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Business from Yonsei University in Korea.
