Rothschild & Co expands Wealth Management offering in Luxembourg

Published
Marie-José Vackier

Rothschild & Co is pleased to announce the expansion of its Wealth Management activities in Luxembourg. This strategic move is part of Rothschild & Co's ongoing commitment to providing first class Private Banking services to its clients across Europe. The reorganised office, now a branch of our French bank, Rothschild Martin Maurel, will serve as a hub for Rothschild & Co's Wealth Management operations, offering a range of services including investment advice, financial planning, wealth management and banking services.

Marie-José Vackier, currently Managing Director at Rothschild Martin Maurel, will become General Manager of the branch. She joined Rothschild Martin Maurel in 2018 to develop a portfolio of key private clients, supporting and advising them in collaboration with expert colleagues across the Rothschild & Co network. The office will be staffed by a team of experienced professionals, including existing Wealth Management teams already based in Luxembourg, who will be integrated into this new structure.

"We are delighted to expand our presence in Luxembourg, a major European financial centre and a strategic market for Rothschild & Co's growth," Alain Massiera, Group Partner and Head of Wealth and Asset Management activities for Rothschild Martin Maurel, said. "Luxembourg holds a strategic geographical position at the heart of Europe. We are very pleased to entrust the management of this new office to Marie-José Vackier. With her knowledge of our business and extensive experience in Wealth Management, she perfectly embodies our ambitions for this new venture.”

"I am honoured to take on the management of the new Luxembourg office, working closely with our team of expert colleagues with complementary skills," added Marie-José Vackier. "We will now be able to offer all our local and international Wealth Management clients the full breadth of Rothschild & Co services, with the high level of excellence and expertise that we are known for."

The opening of an office in Luxembourg follows Rothschild & Co's recent expansions in the Middle East and Germany, in line with the group’s growth strategy of investing in markets and developing its activities where it already has a solid network and reputation.

NOTES TO EDITORS

Marie-José Vackier joined Rothschild & Co in 2018, with responsibility for a portfolio of Key Clients in Paris, which she developed based on her personal network and by supporting shareholder executives of family during capital events.

Before that, Marie-José worked at Credit Suisse in Paris for seven years, as a Senior Private Banker and head of a development team for a clientele of entrepreneurs, wealthy families, and Single Family Offices.

Previously, she held various positions at CA Indosuez for 13 years, first as a private banker, then as a Team Leader. She later took over the Product Marketing Department and finally led the team of Major Private Investors (UHNWI segment).

Marie-José also participated in the creation and development of a management company backed by the Ixis Group, for HNWI/UHNWI clients, which was later integrated into what became Natixis Wealth.

Marie-José began her career at the Savings Research Center and then at the actuarial department of the insurance company Cardif. She is a graduate of Essec.
