Dr. Carlos Mejia

Chief Investment Officer

Carlos joined Rothschild & Co in 2012 from Investec Bank, where he was the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Portfolio Management between 2010 and 2012.

From 2005 to 2010, Carlos worked for UBS AG as Head of Investment Strategy and Portfolio Construction (London) and as Head of Asset Allocation for discretionary portfolios (Zurich).
Between 2000 and 2005, Carlos worked for Goldman Sachs (London) advising institutional investors, first as an Equity Strategist and then as the co head of the Tactical Asset Allocation Advisory team.

Carlos has a Masters in Science and a Doctorate degree in Interdisciplinary Mathematics from the University of Warwick (England) in addition to two first degrees from the National University of Mexico, one in Actuarial Sciences and one in Mathematics.

Carlos is member of the Responsible Investment Committee and the Balance & Inclusion Committee for the Rothschild & Co group and regularly publishes articles or interviews in local and international newspapers and social networks.
