Lucie's story
Lucie began her career at Rothschild & Co in 2021 as an intern with Five Arrows Principal Investments, part of the European Corporate Private Equity arm of our Five Arrows business. Now, two years on, she is an Investment Associate working in London.
“Prior to starting my career at Five Arrows, I took a gap year in which I took up an internship working in M&A with a firm in Paris, advising a variety of different clients – one of which was Five Arrows.
I was incredibly impressed by the strength of expertise the Five Arrows team showed. From that interaction, I knew I wanted to join the team, and having been successful in my application for a graduate internship, I joined Five Arrows in Paris in March 2021.
I love that diversity is reflected in the team."
The teams in London and Paris work closely with one another. As a new colleague in Paris, I came over to London initially for six months to help affirm this relationship, but ultimately decided to stay here. What struck me the most when I moved to London was how bustling and vibrant the city is. I felt a strong energy, which I still feel today.
I have had the opportunity to work on transactions for companies based in a variety of different geographies. I love that this diversity is reflected in the London team, which is made up of people from countries including France, Italy, Germany, Austria, South Africa and the US; they are a really supportive group of peers.
The people who work here are all incredibly talented."
My advice to applicants is to be bold. The people who work at Five Arrows are all incredibly talented – you have to believe in yourself and go for it.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to seize opportunities. Even if it isn’t part of your plan, seize any opportunity that comes your way. Although it may push you out of your comfort zone, it will be worth it.”
