Ryan's story
Ryan enrolled in a Level 4 Apprenticeship and currently works as an Analyst in Wealth Management at Rothschild & Co’s London office. This allowed him to gain industry experience whilst also studying for his qualification.
"I always knew in the back of my mind that university wouldn't be the one for me, and if I was to go and learn skills, I thought I'd be better suited to join a workplace to do so. I thought that whatever came with it, I would get much more out of if I were to enter the world of work. And I felt ready to start my career.
Going all the way back to the start of the apprenticeship, my first six months were spent rotating with different teams that would be relevant to my role. That was our Investments Team, our Client Account Management Team, and Project Management.
I'm very fortunate that opportunities like the apprenticeship here exist to put me on the right path."
There were some difficulties in place, naturally, but I always felt supported by my team who would give me time to study.
Everyone is really collaborative and working towards the same goal both in their own teams, but as the business as a whole too.
