Art Collection & Exhibition Series

Rothschild family painting, close up of the face Marbled paper pattern with layered bands of red, yellow and green
Our founding family has a longstanding and distinguished tradition of supporting the arts.
In 2021, we proudly launched the Rothschild & Co Switzerland Art Collection and Exhibition Series.
This initiative presents rotating, curated exhibitions throughout our offices in Zurich and Geneva.
Each exhibition highlights artists whose geographic origins mirror those of the five Rothschild brothers, whose international trading network connected Austria, Britain, Italy, France, and Germany with the wider world.
Running for approximately six months, our exhibitions are open by appointment to clients, partners, employees, and the public.
Selected artworks are acquired at the outset of each exhibition and added to our growing permanent collection, underscoring our enduring commitment to cultural engagement and artistic legacy.

Art is a time capsule which tells the story of an individual, a community and a certain moment in history. Our curated exhibitions aim to reflect the relevant topics of our times."

Dwellings

The inaugural exhibition in of our series explores the architectural spaces we inhabit as vessels of memory, history, and societal change.

Featuring eleven artists from five European countries, the exhibition reflects on the evolving role of domestic and professional environments in times of disruption and transformation.
