Rothschild & Co appoints Brent Surber to lead its Private Capital Markets capabilities in North America

Rothschild & Co today announced the appointment of Brent Surber as a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Private Capital Markets within Global Markets Solutions (GMS) to lead and support the continued growth of the firm's Private Capital Markets capabilities in North America. Brent is based in New York.

In this newly established role, Brent will work closely with colleagues across GMS and Global Advisory to further develop the firm's private capital solutions offering for corporate and financial sponsor clients. His focus will include advising clients on bespoke equity and debt financings, capital structure advisory and solutions, and private capital distribution.

Brent joins Rothschild & Co with more than 20 years of experience advising clients on capital solutions across equity and debt markets. Most recently, he was a Senior Managing Director in Capital Markets at Guggenheim Securities, where he advised corporate and sponsor-backed clients on a broad range of financing transactions. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at Houlihan Lokey, helping build and grow its Capital Solutions business. Brent graduated with a BS in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, and an MBA in Finance and Economics from Columbia Business School.
