Ivona's story
In 2014, Ivona joined Rothschild & Co and is now Head of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs in Zurich.
"I'm Head of Regulatory and Corporate Affairs. We cover all the regulatory matters and we are also responsible for marketing and communications.
It all starts and ends with the people. In all my career, I never have had such colleagues. So it's actually a special atmosphere and I always call it the ‘Rothschild & Co’ atmosphere. It doesn't matter if it's in Zurich, or in Geneva, here in Switzerland, but also with colleagues from London, from Paris.
It's a kind of special, familiar way how we treat ourselves. I mean, don't get me wrong, we work hard and we also tell ourselves the opinion, but it's always in a kind way. I think we're always respectful to each other and this is the unique way I've never experienced in any other company before. So this is really, for me, the very, very special thing about Rothschild & Co.
It's also due to the family, of course, to the history of our Group. I think it's very unique and really one of a kind. It's also kind of the pride which we have here. I mean in Zurich, everything breathes actually with a bit of the family, and with a bit of the heritage of the family.
We are looking for creative, flexible people. Who definitely go the extra mile, but who are kind.
Just feeling and breathing the whole heritage in our bank is definitely what makes us unique. I think we have this certain creditability which others just do not have.
I think we are looking for creative, flexible people, but for whom the client experience and excellence is very important, who definitely go the extra mile, but who are kind. So always up to date on new developments, but still valuing the tradition, the heritage and valuing the brand. To reach this mix of both sides is, I think, very, very important for us.
You really have opportunities to change your role, to evolve your role, to bring your ideas. As was the case with me, my role completely changed. I don't think that this would have been possible anywhere else than here. So I really very much appreciate that."
