Gianni's story
Gianni is Head of Finance for Rothschild & Co’s Wealth Management business in Italy. Before moving to Milan for his current role, he began his career at Rothschild & Co five years ago as Head of Accounting and Controlling in Zurich.

The move from Zurich to Milan was inspired by both professional and personal factors. Professionally, with the Milan office being smaller than in Zurich, I would be able to have a closer relationship with senior management.

In my role as Head of Finance, I am responsible for everything finance related. I have a myriad of responsibilities, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, working with external auditors, capital adequacy and regulatory reporting.
Experiencing work in different countries has undoubtedly impacted the way that I work. I have learnt that whilst each culture has its own unique way of doing things and their own quirks, the overall objective amongst my colleagues is the same: to be as efficient and effective as possible.
