Junior AML & Compliance Specialist

Contract: Full-Time | Permanent | CBA: banking, 3rd Professional Area | Base Salary Range: 36k-40k

We're looking for a Junior AML & Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team, that is responsible among the other for designing and building the policies, procedures, and contractual infrastructure of our company as well as executing the 2nd level of internal controls and assessments.

The role is primarily focused on supporting the local Head of Compliance in executing second line controls and delivering day to day compliance activities, collaborating closely with cross-functional colleagues. This is a hands-on opportunity for those who want to apply technical and analytical skills in a regulated and international environment.

  • Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT)

  • Oversee the client onboarding process: preparation and review of client files, conduct of due diligence investigations, and participation in client acceptance committees

  • Lead periodic KYC review campaigns: definition of scope, implementation of the review framework, analysis and validation of files, and support to business teams

  • Perform second-level controls on KYC and AML/CFT frameworks and monitor remediation action plans

  • Contribute to the drafting, updating, and continuous improvement of AML/CFT procedures

  • Participate in cross-functional departmental projects (tool enhancements, process improvements, remediation initiatives)

  • Contribute to internal and regulatory reporting

  • Monitor regulatory developments in AML/CFT and participate in industry working groups, with dissemination of key updates internally

  • Organize and oversee AML/CFT training initiatives for staff

  • MiFID and ESG Compliance

  • Review and validate marketing materials and client-facing documentation

  • Support the launch of new investment products and services (e.g. sustainable finance, private equity offerings)

  • Perform second-level compliance controls on MiFID and ESG activities and monitor implementation of recommendations

  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reports and Compliance Committee materials

  • Participate in the compliance risk mapping process

  • Conflicts of interest and inducements management

  • Monitor regulatory developments (MiFID, ESG, etc.) and coordinate with Group Compliance teams

  • Oversee regulatory training frameworks (ESG, life insurance, etc.) and their deployment across business lines

  • Banking regulation

  • Review and validate pre-contractual and contractual materials and client-facing documentation (Bank of Italy transparency regulation)

  • Support the launch of new banking products and services

  • Perform second-level compliance controls on banking activities and monitor implementation of recommendations

  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reports and Compliance Committee materials

  • Participate in the compliance risk mapping process

  • Monitor regulatory developments (Banking regulation, usury, dormant accounts, etc.)

  • Oversee regulatory training frameworks and their deployment across business lines

  • Advisory and Support to Business Teams

  • Provide guidance to staff on operational compliance matters

  • Advise on ESG and private equity-related topics

  • Support teams on cross-border client-related issues

  • Studies & experience:

  • Master’s degree in Law, Economics or a related discipline, with a specific focus on Compliance, Internal Controls, Risk Management or similar fields

  • Language skills:

  • English: fluent

  • French: nice to have
