• Climate change is a serious risk to our environment, to society and the economy. By proactively managing our GHG emissions we will contribute our share of responsibility to combat climate change.

  • Our objectives:

In recognition of the effects of climate change and its potential impact we give consideration to climate change challenges and opportunities across the businesses. We continuously seek to improve our operational practices to limit and reduce the direct and indirect impact of our business operations and in particular business travel.

    • Limit our operational GHG impact
    • Implement an internal carbon price (ICP).
  • Case study

Reducing our office footprint Rothschild & Co officially opened its office doors in Silicon Valley on May 21, 2018, after taking significant steps to ensure it minimised the negative environmental impact of selecting and fitting out an appropriate site.

By carefully mapping out the floor plan the team has minimised artificial lighting requirements and, at the same time, the installation of centralised recycling stations has eliminated the need for under-desk waste bins.

Using some of the recommendations set out in the LEED guidelines for a sustainable office fit out, the team has created a future-fit office, ensuring that energy and water use is minimised, materials are sourced sustainably and waste and recycling is responsibly and efficiently managed.
