Global Advisory: Rothschild & Co Hires Michael Altmin and Navdeep Kalsi as Managing Directors in North America
Altmin will expand Technology team in Silicon Valley
Kalsi joins the firm's Consumer Retail team in Chicago
Continues expansion of Rothschild & Co's Global Advisory business in North America
Rothschild & Co's Global Advisory business today announced that Michael Altmin and Navdeep Kalsi will join its North America business as Managing Directors, expanding the firm's senior leadership and expertise in the region. Mr. Kalsi has joined the Consumer Retail team based in Chicago and Mr. Altmin joins the Technology team in Palo Alto.

Prior to joining Rothschild & Co, Mr. Altmin spent 15 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently a Managing Director in its Technology and Merger & Acquisitions Group in Palo Alto. Previously, he held roles in investment banking at Soundview Technology Group in New York. Mr. Altmin brings significant investment banking and mergers & acquisitions experience across the technology sector. He has provided strategic and financial advice on transactions involving clients such as Salesforce.com, HP, Cisco, Microsoft, Google, eBay, SAP, and others, as well as leading technology-focused private equity firms and their portfolio companies such as Vista Equity Partners, Thoma Bravo, Insight Venture Partners, and Bain Capital. Mr. Altmin holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Mr. Kalsi joins Rothschild & Co's Global Advisory business from BMO Capital Markets, where he was a Managing Director and responsible for Consumer Products Investment Banking coverage. Prior to joining BMO in 2011, Mr. Kalsi held roles at Morgan Stanley in London and Bank of America in New York. Through his career, he has executed a broad range of M&A, debt financing, and equity transactions for clients including Newell Brands, Central Garden & Pet, Helen of Troy, and KIK Custom Products, among others. Recent transactions include Newell Brands sale of Rexair to Rhône Capital, Lifetouch's $825 million sale to Shutterfly, and advising CDPQ on its investment in KDC/One. Mr. Kalsi holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
