Rothschild Global Advisory: Three deals named as winners at The Banker Deals of the Year

Three Rothschild Global Advisory transactions from the last 12 months were selected as winners at The Banker magazine's 2018 Deals of the Year Awards. All three of the transactions involved advice to sovereigns and state-owned companies, demonstrating the strength of our ability to achieve successful outcomes for these clients. 

  • Greece's Public Debt Management Agency's (PDMA) €3bn bond and €1.5bn liability exercise was named European SSA Bond* of the Year. 
  • Republic of Côte d'Ivoire's US$2bn dual-tranche Euro and USD Eurobond issue was named African SSA Bond* of the Year. 
  • Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Distribution's (ADNOC) AED3.1bn (US$850m) privatisation IPO on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange was named Middle Eastern Equities Deal of the Year.

The Banker is a monthly magazine owned by the Financial Times group. It was established in 1926 and is read in 150 countries.

The Banker Deals of the Year selects winning transactions across a range of deal types for each of five regions. Primary judging criteria are: meeting of client objectives, deal complexity, innovation, and the challenges of the deal environment. The 2018 awards considered deals that completed in the 12 months to 31 March 2018.
