Overview of Role

We present an informed and impartial perspective to help our clients reach their goals through the design and execution of strategic M&A and financing solutions.

We provide impartial, expert advice to large and mid-sized corporations, private equity, families and entrepreneurs, governments and sovereign wealth funds. We design and execute strategic M&A and financing solutions for our clients and act as a trusted partner, taking a long-term and independent view on the challenges they face.

Our deep understanding of financial markets, the high volume of transactions we advise on, and our unrivalled network of industry and financing specialists in 40 countries, provide clients with a comprehensive global perspective to achieve their strategic goals. Responsibilities

  • Work on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical aspects of transactions, ranging from client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction strategy and execution;
  • Develop and maintain standard or bespoke financial models;
  • Use a range of valuation techniques to support client advice, including discounted cash flows, trading comparables analysis, transaction comparables analysis, and LBO-based valuations;
  • Coordinate and support teams in the preparation of marketing and transaction documentation including client presentations, information memoranda, offering documents;
  • Seek to identify new business opportunities for Rothschild & Co and new ideas for our clients that advance their strategic objectives;
  • Coordinate and support the project team in coordinating all aspects of transactions, both internally and in coordination with other advisers;
  • Research relevant industries to support the team’s transaction initiatives, optimising various sources of information;
  • Successful candidates may be considered for conversion to an Analyst position.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher; candidates should be either recently graduated or in their final year of study.

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Fluent in English; with an ability to speak Bahasa a plus.
  • Previous experience gained in a similar role in a financial advisory and/or banking organisation;
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines;
  • Strong academic performance;
  • Genuine interest in corporate finance;
  • Very strong analytical and numerical skills;
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and preferably also research databases (ISI Securities and Bloomberg);
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Diligent and committed to excellence;
  • Ambitious, driven, and capable of delivering results while working under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to build long-term, professional relationships that add value to the client and lead to the expansion of the business;
  • Aptitude for ongoing personal and professional development;
  • Knowledge of the relevant financial and regulatory environments that surrounds M&A.
